Hi, I'm Katie!

WHY DO I LOVE DESIGN?

I love design because it tells a story. A great piece of design can bring out emotions and inspire action. My hope is to continue to sharpen my craft and inspire others to make a positive change for the world. I find inspiration by challenging myself and the status quo and learning different skills. I’m currently learning instructional design and the concepts of how people learn. This will help with my design by understanding the thought patterns behind people’s actions or inactions. I will continue to use my skills and determination to create a better future for generations to come and inspire others to find their passions.

What ARE MY PASSIONS?

I love helping others, meeting new people and creating beautiful art. I jump at any opportunity to volunteer which has sent me to the ghettos of Nicaragua, local soup kitchens around Boston, Cradles to Crayons, and starting a Food Recovery Network Chapter at Roger Williams University. These opportunities have brought some of the most inspiring people into my life. I thrive when I can get totally enthralled in a project or cause knowing how it can help to inspire or provide for someone else.

MY EXPERIENCE

For over five years I have been working as a graphic designer at Iron Mountain. Iron Mountain is trusted by 95% of the Fortune 1000 companies with their most important assets. While working as a graphic designer for Iron Mountain I have helped create captivating customer presentations that have landed multi-year, multi-million dollar deals. My other responsibilities include partnering with subject matter experts to create job aids, interactive pdfs, web pages and brochures for our sales organization. The past two years I have transitioned to an Instructional Designer role where I am creating e-learning trainings for our sales organization. These trainings help our sellers have meaningful conversations and understand the complexity of our products.

My freelance projects include helping create winning presentations for investors for Better World International, branding ClientWon, helping sell houses with eye catching brochures with Arborview Realty and creating my own wedding card invites. I love working with different brands and messages to showcase the companies vision and story. If you want to learn more or just say hi please email me.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
